Freight train departed from Xi’an heading Immingham
The train leaves Xi’an for Immingham.

On July 1, 2021, the China-Europe freight train (Xi’an-Immingham), which was loaded with 50 containers of electronic accessories, furniture and home appliances, departed from Xi’an International Port and headed west to the United Kingdom.

The train departed from Alashankou and will pass through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Lithuania, arriving in Kaliningrad. Then the containers will be transferred to a ferry and finally arrive at Immingham Port in the UK. The whole journey of rail-sea combined transportation is about 11,316 kilometers, and takes about 16 days. The goods will be transported further by rail or truck.

According to Xi’an Free Trade Port Construction and Operation Co., Ltd., there will be one train per week. In the future, it will be added to two to three outbound trains and one to two return trains per week to meet the cargo demand for high-efficiency transportation of import and export to the UK.
